Pregnant Soap Star Takes ABC To Court For Wrongful Dismissal

Former "General Hospital" actress Kari Wuhrer sued ABC-TV on Thursday, contending her character was written out of the soap opera and she was fired for becoming pregnant.

She is alleging she suffered at least $3 million in damages to her earnings, career and through the cost of emotional distress.

I think anyone who has ever been in the vicinity of a television knows that soap opera writers make some of the most far fetched plot contrivances in the history of written word. And how many pregnancies are there in a typical year on a soap opera? There has to be more to this story.
